I tend to go through cycles with my makeup. Sometimes it’s bronze, sometimes purples, sometimes greens. For the past few months, I’ve been all about rose gold in everything from makeup to jewelry to home decor.
My ravishing in rose gold obsession let me straight to the cute Tarte
Frosé on Ice Kit $19. This pretty limited edition 3-pc. collection has a full-size Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in frosé, a metallic rose gold shade, a Chrome Paint Shadow Pot in frosé, a metallic rose gold shade and a mini Big Ego mascara all for only $19. Now it’s been a hot minute since I bought anything from Tarte, but I couldn’t resist this awesome bargain–it’s worth $39!
Firsts up is the Frosé blush. If you haven’t heard of the award-winning Amazonian Clay Blush from tarte you must have been living in a cave. It’s one the BEST blush formula on the market. Amazonian Clay Blushes are chock full of finely milled mineral pigments that literally last all day. they are infused with moisture, so they don’t cling to dry patches and the pigmentation is excellent. Frosé is a captivating medium pink with subtle gold shimmer that complements any complexion!
Frosé Chrome Paint Shadow Pot is a stunning pinky rose gold of loose powder eyeshadow. Okay, okay it’s true I do NOT like loose pigments, BUT this shadow comes with a presser so you can press the loose shadow into the pot. Makes a difference, beauties. And besides, I can’t resist this shade, a mix of rosy pink with warm shimmer throughout. tarte suggests using your finger to apply and I got opaque coverage when I did that. I also applied wet with a brush for more shine. Frose lasted beautifully without creasing and it makes eyes look wide awake and sparking!
Finally, Big Ego Mascara is a vegan formula powered with plant-based Babassu, to nourish and condition lashes. It’s a nice ultra black shade and coats every lash. The hourglass-shaped wand is fairly big and it’s supposed to be double twisted to deliver maximum pigment. I like the formula but I prefer the wand with the lights, camera, lashes mascara better. Still, I’ll throw this in my makeup bag in my purse for touch-ups.
Bottom Line: the Tarte Frosé on Ice Kit makes for a nice break from all the browns, reds and golds we’ve been seeing for the last few years. It’s a fun set that provides an enchanting rose gold look for a bargain price!
